I am stuck!.. What should I do with my life? Where am I heading? What am I supposed to do?
There have been many instances when I have asked these questions and others have expressed annoyance while conversing with me.
Let me tell you something: You are never stuck. You're probably frustrated because you didn't take the initiative to accomplish anything you desired. People are held back by their fear of failure. So, how do you progress in life if you are stuck?
Do you want to get over this feeling?
YES!
These next steps will help you:
Every day, at least one new thing catches the attention of each person. That's when you may believe that there's someone who is excelling in this sector and you were unaware of it.
Your brain may start replaying the negative emotion which was fed like meals every day “I am a loser; What am I going to do next; how am I going to make ends meet etc.”
There are thousands of things that you and I may not be aware of.
So, let's change the words to "learned a new thing today" and notice how they make us feel. Our attitudes and brains may be rewired as a result of what we say or think.
Self-awareness is the most talked about topic, yet these questions throw people off:
1. What are your strengths?
2. Which is one value that you will not compromise in your life?
3. Which topic are you most passionate about?
4. What do you want to be in life?
5. What is your purpose in life?
You may begin by simply asking yourself the following questions: Where are my talents, what am I great at, and how can I improve them? Once you've discovered your passions, you'll be able to explore the possibilities linked with them. You don't need to know everything in this world. To be happy in life, you must first know yourself.
Other ways to get answers to these questions are:
1. Self-reflection
2. Personality tests
3. Asking your friends, colleagues, or family members
4. Work with a coach
So, let's acknowledge that one individual isn't confined by his or her circumstances; it is the fear of failing or not having the bravery to alter things. The next question is how can I overcome my fear?
Begin with the elimination procedure; let us get rid of things that you don't want. For example, if my retirement goals include some excellent investments, I would like to have.
Option 1: I'm not interested in stocks or crypto and don't want to pay commissions or pursue people for the next step, so this option is eliminated. The next step is to discover if I'm comfortable investing $500 per month. Maybe mutual funds or endowment insurance are good options.
So, as you explore your alternatives, choose something that is comfortable and has no fear of taking the leap.
This will lead to the feeling of overcoming your fear and being unstuck.
This is where to learn to be comfortable with being uncomfortable.
Let's get into the habit of exploring more in life now that you've overcome your fear and know yourself better.
How can I do this?
These simple steps can help:
1. Have you ever spoken to individuals who are not well-known? (Of course, without judging them and with the goal of learning)
2. Read about topics that you haven't yet addressed.
3. Attend a variety of events that interest you.
4. Take an online course on something that piques your curiosity.
5. Travel to different places and get to know the culture.
6. Volunteer for a good cause that aligns with your values.
By doing this, you'll be opening yourself up to new opportunities, knowledge, and relationships. And the best part is that you'll be progressing in life by doing so!
So, if you're feeling stuck in life, don't worry! There are always options available to you. These simple steps will help you progress through your fear and begin living a life that is fulfilling and meaningful. Overcoming frustration is essential to a happy life, so get started today!
